Our family has a long history in Houston, as well as a long
history in the business of making and fitting western hats.
As a matter of fact, the American Hat Company was founded in
1915, in Houston, Texas by The Hat Store owner's grandfather.
The
Hat Store has fit and hand shaped western felt hats for many
famous people such as our President's father, the former President
George H. Bush, Texas Governor Rick Perry, entertainers such
as Dusty Hill of Z.Z.Top, Lyle Lovett, Merle Haggard, Clint
Black, Alabama, Larry Gatlin, great western actor Dennis Weaver,
Craig Biggio and Lance Berkman of the Houston Astros, Shaquille
O'Neal (Shaq) of the L.A. Lakers and many, many more!
The
Hat Store is located in Houston, Texas and offers custom hand-shaped
western (cowboy) style hats,
men's dress hats, western
(cowboy) straw hats, and unique western
hatbands! Every single western hat is steamed and hand-shaped
just the way you like as in days of old! The Hat Store has over
25 colors to choose from. The art of hand-shaping quality felt
and straw hats is a standard procedure at The Hat Store and
the western hatband selection is the most unique in all the
world!!
